We actively submit to and present at international conferences. You'll have opportunities to engage with researchers worldwide.
Through regular meetings and individual discussions, we provide solid support for each student's research, including guidance on methodology and paper writing.
When opportunities for joint research with companies or other institutions arise, you may participate and gain experience working on real-world problems.

If you wish to join our lab as a new graduate student, please contact us through our Contact page first. We'll discuss research themes and availability. If you are applying from outside the university, please contact the professor and prepare a research plan in Japanese for submission. We primarily use Python for research. Please make sure you are proficient in Python before joining the lab.
Since you will read English papers and aim to submit to international conferences, English proficiency will gradually become necessary. However, we don't require high proficiency from the start. We'll develop your skills together through research.
There are no core hours. However, we think of the lab as a homeroom or clubroom. Of course, you're expected to attend regular meetings, and you're always welcome to come by whenever you have free time.
As needed, we hold reading group sessions based on textbooks on computer vision and pattern recognition. We also share and present related papers to build knowledge together as a group.
We recommend graduate school for those who want to deepen their research, and we also support those pursuing a doctoral degree. If you wish to join our lab as a new graduate student, please contact us in advance.
